Managing your content on the Creator Community
How do I add content?
Go to the “Uploads” tab of your profile. From there you can connect your TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube accounts and publish that content to Catch+Release. You can also upload content directly from your phone or computer.
Will all my social media content be published to Catch+Release?
When you connect your social media account, you can optionally turn on “Content Sync”. This automatically publishes all your previously posted content. Any content you post in the future will automatically be published to Catch+Release.
If you don't want to publish everything, keep “Content Sync” off. We'll import your content as a private draft and you then choose which pieces of content to publish to Catch+Release.
Do I have to keep coming back to publish content?
With Content Sync on, you can “set it and forget it”--anything you post on your synced social media account will automatically be published to Catch+Release. If you choose not to turn on “Content Sync” you will need to log in to Catch+Release to publish new content.
Do I have to allow Catch+Release to access my social media accounts?
No. You can also publish content by uploading it directly to Catch+Release.
My accounts are private, can I still import content from there?
That depends on the social media provider:
- Instagram: connect and import content from public or private accounts
- YouTube: import public or unlisted videos, but not private videos
- TikTok: connect and import content from public accounts only
Can I connect more than one account from the same social media provider?
Yes. To connect another account, first log into that account in the same web browser that you're using to access Catch+Release. Then return to your Catch+Release account, go to the Uploads tab of your profile, and click the “Connect” button next to the social media provider you want to connect.
How do I unpublish content?
Go to the “Uploads” tab of your profile and find the social media account that it was published from. Open up “Imports” for that social media account, scroll to the content you want to remove, and click “Unpublish.” That content will no longer appear on your portfolio, in search results, or in any galleries it was previously added to.
Is it okay that my content has text on it?
Yes. If your content gets licensed by a brand, we will ask you to upload the original footage or image if you have it.
Can I add content I don't own?
You need to own or appear in any content you add.
What if a piece of content has more than one owner?
If your content has multiple copyright owners or models, we can help secure approvals from those individuals when a brand requests to license the content.

How your content will be used
How will my content be used?
Typically, our customers are advertising agencies and brands who will use your content for marketing. Depending on how they plan to use your content, it could appear online, on TV, on billboards, in cinema or a variety of other places. You will be informed of how they plan to use the content as part of reviewing your offer.
What brand wants to use my content?
Most times, advertising campaigns feature information not yet released to the public. This is why most of our customers request 100% confidentiality until their campaign goes live. However, if Catch+Release is authorized by the customer to do so, we will provide you the name(s) of the advertising agency and/or the brand they are working for.
