Introducing Projects: Focus For Your Creative Work

Table of contents

Managing tight timelines for any campaign can be overwhelming. Producers and creatives alike need a focused workspace to prioritize what needs to be done. That’s why we built Projects - so you can create more quickly and easily with Catch+Release.

A Dedicated Space for Each Project

Projects keep the focus on what you’re actively working on - giving you one place to organize all your content, clearance requests, and licenses.

In each Project, you’ll find:

  • Project Overview – A summary view of your shots ready to license, in clearance, at risk, and your most recent notifications.
  • Shots – A simplified grid view of all the content you’ve chosen for this project (formerly known as the Collection).
  • Storyboards – Use selects and alts to create a storyboard view of your project
  • Tracker – The same robust tracking tool you know and love, but filtered to keep tabs only on content for this specific project.
  • Usages – A dedicated dashboard showing usages and licensing details for the project’s shots.
  • Table – A table view of all shots in the project, making it easy to filter, sort, and organize.

Why We Made This Change

Less noise, more focus.
Producers and creatives are already busy enough. Projects help users zero in on one campaign’s content and details at a time.

Keep everyone on the same page.
Easily share your project with teammates and collaborators to get creative approvals and track clearance and licensing.

Faster, more organized workflows.
We designed the Project workspace to mirror the natural progression of your creative process. You can jump between Shots, Storyboards, and Tracker without losing your train of thought—or your creative inspiration.

How to Get Started

  1. Create a New Project
From your Catch+Release dashboard, click “Create Project” and give it a name—maybe your campaign theme or a quick reference to your brand partner.
  2. Add Shots
Search the Creator Community for licensable content with free clearance, or add content from anywhere on the internet to your project. Start clearance to gather necessary rights and permissions.
  3. Storyboard Your Campaign
Build a storyboard to see your vision come to life. Add selects, alts, and scene notes, and share with your team.
  4. Track clearance progress with Tracker
Track the shots you’ve put into clearance with price and time to clear estimates, and see what’s Ready to License.

What’s Next?

We’re excited about the possibilities Projects unlock for creatives everywhere. By reorganizing the workspace around each project, we’ve made it easier than ever for you to stay focused, in sync, and on track. And this is just the beginning—our team is already exploring additional features that’ll help you take your storytelling even further.
