We have exciting new features to announce at Catch+Release this week. Coincidentally, they share the common goal of helping you streamline your production workflow. Whether it’s through automating tasks that tend to pile on and become tedious, or through promoting team collaboration and supporting the creative process, we’re here to make things easier for you.

Bulk Actions on Shots Across Collections and Usages

The editing phase of campaign production is just as thrilling as any other — and also just as time sensitive. When we help you license stunning visual content for various campaigns, it often involves dozens of shots for even just a single spot. You don’t want to spend extra time clicking on each shot downloading the high resolution files one-by-one. That’s why we’ve made it easy for you to bulk download multiple high resolution files at once. From the Shots Table, filter your view by the campaign you’re working on. Then select all the shots you’d like to download. On the top, right-hand side of the table, click the button that says, “Download”. Then click “High-res assets.” This will immediately download the files to your local device.

In addition to bulk downloading high resolution assets, you also have the ability to download a license summary for multiple shots. To do that, you’ll follow the same process of filtering the Shots Table, selecting the appropriate shots, and clicking on the “Download” button at the top right-hand corner. From the drop-down, click “License summary”. A pop-up will ask you to confirm and start the download. Once you’ve done that, your combined license summary will begin downloading to your local device.

Filter the Shots Table by Likes and Comments from Specific Team Members

One of the best ways for creative and production teams to collaborate on the content they want to license for their campaigns is to add comments and likes to shots in a collection. In situations where you need approval from an end-client, a Creative Director, or an Executive Producer, it’s easy to identify which shots a specific person has liked or commented on in a collection. In the Shots Table, filter your view by the collection you’re using for your campaign. Then add another filter to narrow down further. Click the category “Hearted by” or “Comments by” then select the team member that you want to filter. The Shots Table will populate all the shots in the campaign that are liked by or that have received comments from this person.
